Even though we did not go anywhere for the holiday weekend, we still thought it would be fun to do a little day trip, despite the cruddy weather. After all, we are Oregonians for pete's sake right?? A little rain never hurt anyone.....except me when I am stuck inside with two babies day after day after day........................ HA. We drove up the Gorge and decided to hike the back way up Horsetail Falls and beyond. It was perfectly cloudy and misty with gorgeous views. Ty carried Jack and I carried El. We had a wonderful and peaceful time and even ate lunch on the edge of a cliff. Three hours later and we were safely back at home! It just seems like so much work sometimes to get out with the kids, but the reward is truly there once we do.

Family Trip
A couple of weeks ago the four of us traveled down to the Bay Area for Tyee's 10 year business school reunion. We each took a kiddo and flew down separately.......Elie and I spent a day/night with the Simon's and Jack and Tyee spent a night with his friend Ryan in Napa. Then we all joined together in Palo Alto and stayed at a hotel close to the Stanford campus. The weather was beautiful, the kids did not sleep, Jack got a huge goose-egg on his head from a fall, and we got to go to a wonderful carnival on campus! The highlight was Saturday night when my best friend in the entire world (Stace of coursre :)), her husband Justin, and his sister Dee, took care of the kids so Tyee and I could attend an adult only dinner. We were so grateful to the Simon's and think they would do great with a family of 3 kids!! We are still trying to deal with lots of sleep issues, but had such a wonderful time seeing our friends and introducing Jack and Elie to everyone.

Elie's Friends
We have had the chance to hang with some of my best friends and their kiddos of late! First, is one of Elie's future BFF's who is only 2 days older than her, Lauretta Finholm. Her mama Amy and I are great friends and could gab for days!! The girls didn't exactly "gab" yet, but they are well on their way!
Now E also has many boyfriends.....here in town, and far away. We love to visit Elie's boyfriend Bennett down in the Bay Area. B's momma, Stace, and I are the bestest of friends and love to do nothing together. Bennett was friendly as usual, and we just love staying at aunt Stacy's.

Elie's Baptism
Last weekend Elie was baptized at our church, Madeleine, in front of the parish and some family at mass. Her wonderful godparents Matt, Meg and Uncle Jed also participated. Jed flew up all the way from Santa Barbara for the occasion and it meant so much to our family. All three of these godparents mean so much to Tyee and I, and will be such influential and supportive people in Elie's life. We are honored that they accepted the "challenge" :) The baptism mass was very special, and funny. Miss E was happy as could be throughout, and when the priest came to lie his hands on her she pushed him away, mutiple times. It was hilarious!! HEre are just a few pics from the day, I have to get the good ones from my sis. God bless Elie as she starts her journey of faith with us.

LOTS of catch up!!
I have been horrible lately with my blogging....between working, not sleeping, and these two adorable yet BUSY children, I have not had a moments peace it seems like! I even thought about giving up the blog for a bit, but then remembered how much I enjoy looking back over it, and that some of my and Tyee's family check it every day. SOOOO..... first are some adorable pics of Jack and Elie.....with Elie on the major move, these two are side by side most of the day. Jack is super sweet probably 80% of the time with her, the other 20% he is over it! But I think that is pretty good considering I was pretty awful to my siblings. We have had tea parties, lots of fun in the bath, and park time together.
