Lucky Ducky

I have been very fortunate to have spent the past two weekends on two amazing, and very different adventures. Both sans kids, which made me sad at times, but both were wonderful times to recharge and reconnect. First, Tyee and I went on a 3 day rafting trip down the wild and scenic portion of the Rogue River. My pictures absolutely did not do this river justice, as it was one of the most beautiful places in the world I have experienced. It was just five of us floating down the river on a beautiful fall weekend. I saw deer, fish jumping, herons, and most exciting of all BEARS. I think we encountered 6-7 bears total. Some just on the bank of the river while we were floating by, others sneaking around our camp at night!! The bears were apparently just as scared of us as we were of them, but I find that hard to believe as I freaked out in my tent.

My second journey was not as wild and scenic, but beautiful in a different way. I took a girls trip to Walla Walla for wine tasting and relaxation. What a cute little town it was, and we had a ball tasting wine and eating wonderful food. Thanks so much to my group of wonderful friends (and moms ) who I LOVE and cherish.

Pumpkin Patch #1

Fall is my favorite time of year and we kicked it off with our first (of many) visits to the patch. Grammie treated us to Lakeview Farms out in North Plains. The weather was perfect, it wasn't too crowded, and the kids had a blast. The train ride was a special treat that Jack loved!
