Our little Mia

This is a new blogging record for me.....3 posts in one day!! I just have so much to share....of course of my Jack, but also my adorable niece, Mia. Jack and I traveled up to Seattle for a night to spend time with the Coussens. Jack was in love with Mia, most of the time :> Uncle Matt came by and had dinner with us, and brought Jack ANOTHER huge Christmas gift....his first little ATV..doesn't he know I work in rehab and will never let my son on a real one of those things!

Christmas

Well there are too many pictures to choose from!! We had a wonderful and snowy Christmas with Tyee's side of the family and my family!! We had a wonderful prime rib dinner compliments of my husband, of course, on Christmas Eve and then spent Christmas morning opening gifts, followed by a wonderful Christmas dinner at my mom and dad's. Jack was spoiled by many, and still has yet to sort through all his wonderful new stuff. Grammie D got Jack his first set of REAL golf clubs (we might put those away til summer :>), Uncle Jeddie got Jack a "scary" Cookie Monster, Auntie Annie got Jack his first vacuum and keyboard, and Grammie and Pa got Jack more gifts than I can even count!!! Jack's adorable hat is from his Grandpa John and Claire. There were so many more pressies beyond that. Thank you so much to all of our family for making Christmas so special.

Holy Snow!

As everyone in the country has heard...we have been snowed in......I love the look of it, but we are ready to get out!!! I have still been going to work....getting there with friends or walking! Jack was really sick last week and is still recovering so we have kept the little man inside. Here are just a couple of pics from the weekend/week....my crazy husband going for a run with Soph before the "real" snow hit. The others are of Jack watching Tyee dig out the car from the back yard, and Jack playing with the only "toys" he has not been into these past 7 days...my breast pump accessories! Crazy kid. More fun pics to come:>

And the Decorating.....

Here are some pics of Jack helping decorate the tree and in his new big boy chair!

For the third year in a row, we headed to Sky Ranch in Mountaindale on Saturday to cut down our Christmas tree. It was raining and windy at home, but when we got up there it was a blizzard!!! Jack was pretty suspect of the snow and did not like it as much as we had hoped. He hung in there though and we found the perfect tree or "tee" as he calls it. Sophie was in HEAVEN, as she is a true snow doggie! On our way home we made a stop and had a famous Helvetia Tavern burger...YUM!

Weekend Update

We had a fun and fast weekend filled with visiting lots of friends. Jack also received some Beaver paraphernalia from his Grammie and Grampie much to Tyee's dismay! I even snuck away for a few hours to bake holiday cookies with my girls Steph and Lindsay!

My Amazing Little Man

Jack continues to shock and amaze me....we were driving home from a short and dreadful trip to the mall, and we passed by one of our beautiful local parks which happens to have about 16 basketball hoops and courts outdoors. Well, Jack was looking out the window, pointing and shouting "bassball bassball". Being the mom who felt guilty about taking my son to the mall, I pulled over and we ventured out into the brisk 45 degree air and "shot" baskets for 40 minutes. We were the only people around, but Jack was so serious about his basketball. He aims for the ten foot hoop and is able to shoot it up about 3 feet tops...I sense that we have many more afternoons out on the court together which is great with me...I love and miss basketball! I, of course, did not have my camera for this precious moment, but snapped some make-up pics at home. I could not love my little boy any more than I do right now!

We also received some new stockings in the mail and it finally put me in the Christmas spirit!!!

Jack in his Kiwi gear!!!

These pics are for our Auntie Moo who is all the way across the world right now....she sent a wonderful package full of gifts to Jack and his cousin Mia for an early Christmas. We want you home for Christmas Meg!!

Hangin with Stace and Bennett

My best friend Stace and her newish baby boy Bennett are home for 10 whole days so we got to hang out all day with them! Jack loves his auntie Stace and was trying to be in her lap most of the day.....I think he was a tiny bit jealous of the babe :>. We hung out and played at our house, went to lunch at Deschutes Brewery, and spent some real quality time. I don't want them to go back to Cali!!!

Thanksgiving Holiday

I have been on blogging hiatus...SORRY...my camera has not been at my side as usual. I just have a couple of pics from the Thanksgiving weekend, even though we had a fantastic time! We spent the actual day at my aunt Marnies with 35 other family members and then spent the rest of the weekend hanging out with lots of family and friends. Jack is quite a social dude, and loves all the running around to see different people.
