Just pics from a couple of our outings thus far this summer......Jack continues to LOVE the beach, the ocean, and getting dirty in the sand. He would NOT ride in my dad's combines or big trucks during harvest this year..maybe when he's 3???

GaGa is here!!
I am WAY behind on my blogging, so I will just have to fit in a post one at a time!! I have tons of pictures as we have been enjoying our time with Deb visiting. She has been here almost 12 days and has been helping so much! She has been the primary "Jack duty" and is runnin most of the time! She sneaks in a few Elie snuggles too though!

First Bath!!!
Well, it's Elie's first official bath...in the tub that is. I have just been sponge bathing her since we got home from the hospital, but decided it was time for the real thing. She loved it of course and then had to have some snuggle time with her Ga-ga. Thank god for Ga-Ga who has been so much help to our family these past days! We love you!!

Two Weeks!!!!
Amazing that my babe was originally scheduled to arrive via C-section this upcoming Tuesday the 14th, and today she celebrated her 2 week birthday!!! I feel like Elie has always been a part of our lives. She continues to have a very sweet and mellow demeanor. She is definitely awake more and definitely "looks" at people now. She loves tummy time, for up to 30 minutes at a time!! She can lift her head and rotate it to both sides, and extends so much that she almost rolls over! Night times are still a little difficult as she will only sleep on me, likes to nurse a lot, and seems to have some tummy troubles....I can't complain though because she barely even cries about it. Jack continues to amaze me each day...he has not done ONE mean thing towards his sister, and is even taking it pretty easy on mom with the decreased attention. He wants to hold Elie, kiss her, hold her hand, talk to her, read her books, and lets me know "Mama, Elie is hungry. She is drinking her milk". And the absolutely sweetest thing I have ever seen was yesterday as he was holding her, he kissed her forehead and said "My love you". Ahhhh...By far this time around has been exponentially easier and lets me actually enjoy my infant instead of being scared of it.

I love my Fam
I am the luckiest girl around.....I have the most amazing immediate, extended and in-law family and friends! Since the birth of Elie two weeks ago, I have had so much help with my kids. From my amazing mom and dad, to my sisters Annie and Meg, to my cousins and aunts who have helped me and supported me so much these past two weeks. I truly could not have made it without them. My wonderful friends stopped by with dinner, items for the babe, or just to chat. I don't know how women do it with no family/friend support! And to top it off, gaga Deb flies into town tonight for 12 whole days!! Thank you everyone!!

Our Weekend
It was a great family weekend, lots of time at our house, eating in the backyard and chilling out together. We all went to the downtown Hillsboro Fourth of July parade and I forgot my camera! Jack hated the parade unfortunately, but loved the all day barbecue back at my parents house with our family and friends. So far, Jack has still been WONDERFUL with his new baby sister and I could not ask for a better second baby!

Playdate with Bennett
In all the excitement of welcoming Eile into the world, I forgot to post about our wonderful play day with my best friend Stacy's son, Bennett. Stace was home for a long visit and I am so happy she got to meet my baby girl. Bennett is a pure ANGEL, and Jack was actually really nice to him. I think he was practicing his big brother skills. I wish so much that they lived here and we would be able to have playdates all the time!

Jack and Elie
Wow...I could not have imagined our son welcoming his sister any better than Jack has done. He is so extremely gentle and loving with Elie and I feel so lucky to have captured these moments on camera!! We are only on day one of the kids together, so I won't hold my breath, but it fills our hearts with pure joy to see this.
