Ty took Jack up to Seattle for the day for his first professional baseball game. They had great seats right behind home plate, but of course Jack wanted to be up high, mostly watching the trains and boats go by outside the stadium. Oh well!! At the end of the game, Jack got to run around the actual bases....that is after he got by the creepy Key Bank "Key" character. I guess Jack shares the fear of costumed things like his Uncle Matt :) After the game, Jack even got some time to hang with his Auntie Fawn, Uncle Mike and cousin Mia!

The Farm
Being out at my grandparent's house, the farm, brings nothing but fond memories for me. As a child, I spent countless hours running around the yard through the sprinkler, playing croquet, lying in the hammock, watching the tractors and combines, and spending hours with my Brown Gram. It was extremely emotional for me to see my kids running through the sprinkler without my grandma there to sit back and enjoy it like she did when we were kids. The unexpected surprise was watching my Brown grandpa, who was always so busy working to spend time with us, interact with my kids and me. He took me around the yard and showed me EVERY flower on the property, harvested some veggies from the garden for Tyee and I to take home, and really seemed to enjoy our company. He is extremely lonely without my grandma, but is so much softer and easier to talk to these days. Tyee and I truly love him, and I hope we can continue to form a close and meaningful relationship with him.

Our First Camping Trip
Jack's school does an annual camping trip at Oxbow Park on the Sandy River, and this year we decided to participate! Half of us that is....Ty and Jack stayed the whole night in their two man tent, and El and I drove home for our beds :) We had a blast in the river, playing with all the kids, going on a nature hike, and even having a deer right at our campsite! This was our practice session for our "real" weekend camping trip in a few weeks with our friends the Peterson's from Medford. No comfy bed for that trip :)!!

Happy Birthday Beautiful Momma!!
We celebrated my mom's birthday with a night at the Resort at the Mountain, a beautiful hotel nestled in the woods of Mt. Hood. Moo, my mom, and I had a fabulous night in the resort..... a great dinner, wine, spa treatments, a walk, and lunch at Timberline Lodge. Happy birthday to a wonderful mom and grandma!
