Jack and Grammie D Together Again!!

Sorry its been awhile since our last post!! I had the honor of completing my first Hood to Coast relay race this past weekend with my dad and all of his Jesuit high school classmates. They were pretty amazing runners, including "Pa" and I had a wonderful time!!!

Then we were blessed with the arrival of Jack's other grammie, Deb, who has been with us this week and taking care of Jack while I work. They have been having a blast...going to a Tiki party at our neighbors, playing outside, and playing outside some more. No matter how long they go in between visits, Jack never forgets how much he loves his gram.

Happy Birthday Tyee!

What can I say??? I am so happy my wonderful, beautiful husband was born 36 years ago!! I could not ask for a better partner in this crazy life and journey of parenthood!! We love you babe!

a boy and his snoots

We spend countless hours out in the yard just walking around, picking up sticks, and feeding them to the dog. Jack and Sophie are inseperable....that is when Jack has food or sticks!

Jack also spent time with his Pa reading stories about trucks and tractors.

our week

We have had a fast and fun week so far....Jack loves to practice hoops out in the front yard courtesy of his aunite Moo. Every time he goes to shoot he says "shhi shhi" and yes it sounds like my son is saying one of my favorite bad words! It's pretty funny.

Jack also spent some time with his buddy, baby Harrison, baby of my dear friend and co-worker, Michelle. These two boys were born on the EXACT same day, one year apart. I don't think Harrison will be letting jack pick his nose for long. He'll be giving Jack a run for his money.

Our Cutest....

Jack is just the cutest thing I have EVER seen...he is soo much fun for Tyee and I these days. Even though he has been dealing with some nasty skin issues and got his MMR last week, he has been happy happy happy!!!! I went to Seattle for the night on Saturday to celebrate my good friend Amy's 30th birthday (which was so FUN!!!) and Tyee and Jack had a whole 24 hours to themselves. They had a wonderful time playing outside, playing inside, and going to OMSI for a playdate.

God Bless Grandpa Chuck

Unfortunately, Tyee's grandfather and Jack's great-grandfather, "Grandpa Chuck" passed away one week ago. He was 93 years old and lived a very full and happy life. Tyee and I flew down to Orange County for the funeral while Jack stayed with his Grammie M. Thanks to my mom so much for always being there to help us in every way. We attended a beautiful ceremony where loved ones were able to recall many wonderful times with Grandpa Chuck. We will miss him dearly and think of him often in heaven. We are so grateful he and Jack had a chance to meet each other.

Happy Birthday "MA"!!!

Jack loves his Grammie M (whom he calls "MA" in a very demanding way:>) more than ANYTHING and we celebrated her birthday with her at her favorite place, the beach! We spent a night in Gearhart and Jack played in the ocean, swam with grammie in the pool, and kept us all up very late at night. Then we left and grammie got a nice quiet night by herself. We are so grateful for all that my mom does for us and can not even begin to express how much we love her. We honestly could not have raised Jack this far without her. We love you, a bushel and a peck, and a big hug around the neck!
