Recent Adventures with Squirrel, Miss E and Snoots

So sorry for being soooo behind on my summer posts.......summer seems like a very distant memory today in this dark and rainy weather :( A few weeks ago, we attempted our first "big" camping trip. We headed for Central Oregon to meet our friends the Petersons, who were driving up to meet us from Medford. We took our chances and got one of the last spots at the BEST spot...South Twin Lake about 20 miles outside of Sunriver. This is where my family used to go when we were young with our good friends the Dooneys. With our luck starting out so good, I prayed it would continue with the rest of the trip. The Harpster fam stayed in a tent and the Peterson fam stayed in their tent trailer. Let's just say Elie shifted into a nocturnal beast and decided she would NOT sleep in her pack and play in the tent. So after lots of trying and Tyee taking her for a moonlit stroll at 3 am around the campground, we decided that there was no way to pull 2 all-nighters. We enjoyed the next day and then drove home to sleep in our beds. I took enough photos in our 24 hours to make it look like we were there for WEEKS!! We loved meeting Bennett who is a few months younger than Elie, and Lucas and Jack "played" together as best they could. We loved spending a short but sweet time with Kristin and Eric too.
