Here Comes the Messies!!
Now that Jack is getting a little older, I am trying to come up with lots of different "projects" to keep him busy. If we are outdoors, I have NO problem letting him get as messy as possible, but indoors I must admit its hard for me! Nonetheless, I think its extremely important for him to get lots of different tactile experiences, so finger painting here we come!

Oaji Take 1
We have so many great pics from our weekend, I don't even know where to start. We stayed at a gorgeous home of the people that Deb works for (they were in Costa Rica). They have orchards, a chicken coop, views to die for, and a wonderful home that was already toddler proofed! Jack was able to feed the chickens, feed the cats, feed the little girl Roxie's fish, and explore endless grounds. It was sunny 4 of the 5 days we were there.

Last Wednesday we left for a trip to California to visit Jack's grammie Deb or "Gah Gah" as he calls her. We have not flown since Jack was 9 months old, so we did not know what to expect now that he is so active and alert all the time. He was such an amazing trooper for the flight down! It helped that we had our own row and the plane was only like 1/3 full. We had a stop on the way and Jack even got invited to the cockpit to meet the pilot!!

Good Times with Friends
It is so great to have friends with kiddos.....my good friends Steph with her son Ethan and Michelle with her son Harrison! We try to get together at least once a week and it is usually filled with lots of stories and laughs. Jack is the eldest of the group, with Ethan at almost 11 months and Harrison at 8 months. These boys seem SO different now with their abilities, but in a few years they will all be running around together and I can't wait!

Jack's First College Hoops Game
We took Jack to the University of Portland basketball game on Saturday night and it was a blast!! As most of you know from my other posts, we have a b-ball lover on our hands (which I am pretty dang happy about) and we wondered how he would do at an actual "big" game. He seemed to love it, clapping and shouting "Go!!" whenever he could. We only made it to the third period because of a tired little boy, but I would not take back that experience for anything. I can't wait for more!
