My 7 month old baby girl

Well, I don't even know where to start...I can not believe another month has flown by!!! The most notable change in our baby girl's life is that she is MOVIN MOVIN!!!! She loves to roll all over the place, sits by herself, and has even started commando crawling a bit. Jack continues to be her greatest motivation, and when he is in the room, she does not have eyes for ANYONE else. She is constantly grabbing for him and trying to mouth him :) She is eating well, started solids, and likes most everything so far. Her sleep has gone to pot (I am convinced because I bragged about it last month's birthday post) and she awakens anywhere from 4-6 times a night, eating for one of those times. But, with that sweet face of hers and huge brown eyes, it is hard to stay annoyed for long :) She is generally still very mellow and has begun to babble more and blow lots of raspberries. She is average for weight, low percentile for height, is measuring 90th percentile for her head! She LOVES her daddy and her auntie Moo, and does not like it when Moo tries to take a shower and not pay direct attention to her:) On a much more shallow and superficial note, it is becoming more and more fun to dress her because she actually has a neck and upright trunk and all clothes look so dang CUTE on her!!! I love my Elie Maitland and everyone that meets her does too!

Our Week

Nothing too exciting this week, except to say that my kids are amazing! They just know sometimes that I need all the help I can get! Tyee was out of town for a few days and they were absolute ANGELS....sleeping well, eating well, no behavioral issues..thank you guys! It makes motherhood all the more rewarding, and gives me energy. When Tyee got back into town, he and Jack had their first swim lesson together. Jack was not so sure, but we will keep at it! One more disclaimer on the pics....no I do not make my 2 year old son vacuum his room...he BEGGED to do it!! That's the Tyee in him for sure.

Little E is Six Months!!

My wonderful cousin Mary reminded me that I was due for 6 month Elie update, and I am embarrassed to admit that I almost missed it. I mean, I was very aware that she turned 6 months old on Dec. 26th, but forgot to blog about it. I continue to be utterly amazed by our little girl. She has the SWEETEST nature, is so low key, resilient, adorable, and changing by the day. She is sitting for up to 2-3 minutes at a time (with really close supervision). reaching and grabbing for everything in sight, teething like a beast with no visible teeth yet, babbling up a storm, pushing up on her hands and scooting backwards, rolling to her side and back, and on and on. She has a couple of giggle fests each day, one usually due to Jack and one elicited by mom. I feel so sad that she has had to go through some tough times with her bladder issues, but of any baby she can handle it. She sleeps from about 6:30 pm to 3 am, is up for one feed, and then goes back down until 6 am. She is the EASIEST baby to put to sleep, I literally just lie her down (I am knocking on wood right now!) and she does not make a peep. Eiie would prefer to nap ON someone, and some afternoons I can not resist just holding that sweet baby on my chest ( aunite moo does it too :)). She still loves the bath, and has started to eat some pears and brown rice cereal. I don't ever want this special time with her to end.
