Now that Jack can get anywhere he wants to go by crawling, I often "catch" him pulling to stand on everything and trying to walk however he can. Whether its his push toy or the large exercise ball, he loves to practice taking steps. The only problem is, he also likes to stand up in his crib in the middle of the night and can't get back down...

Happy Easter from the Hippity Hoppity Harpsters!
The "Hippity Hoppity Harpsters" are what Jack's Grammie Deb calls us......we had a great day, Jack of course was spoiled with Easter baskets from both grammies. He is here with his basket from his Grammie Mary, filled with lots of fun toys and books. No doubt he will spend the day with her tommorrow exploring all of his new toys. We had Easter dinner at our Aunt Marnie's house and Jack had too much fun in the end.........

Kiss Me, I'm a Little Bit Irish!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! Jack is actually about 1/16th Irish and that comes from his Great-Grandma Coussens. This is one of her favorite days of the year, and we love her very much! I hope everyone has a beer for us tonight......we will be celebrating tonight with the earliest bedtime possible for the Harpster house!!!

Doc Update
Jack had his nine month appointment today, and although his head and height continue to be in the 90th percentiles, our guy is becoming a bit skinny! I guess its all his moving that burns calories (does crying burn any??). He handled his shots like a man and as you can see was able to enjoy the rest of his day.

Dad + Jack = LOVE
To be quite honest, we have had kind of a hard week here at the Harpster house. Jack went through a few nights of lots of crying and very little sleep...which means we also had very little sleep. But he still finds the way to be so dang cute and loving and we adore him even through these hard times. He loves each evening when Tyee gets home from work and they get to have some quality father-son time!

I Love My Za Za!!
We had the pleasure of seeing Jack's other grammie, or "za za" as she calls herself. We enjoyed beautiful days outside in the garden and walking around the waterfront of Portland. Tyee and I even got a date night out while she babysat Jack. Even though he doesn't get to see her as often, you can tell he knows exactly who she is and loves her to death! We love you Deb!!

Happy Nine Months Jack Weston!!!
What an amazing 9 months it has been for our family!!! Jack continues to amaze me every day with his drive and exploration. I have never seen a baby who wants to explore the world as much as he does. While there have been some hard times, I can not imagine my life without this little person in it. I love and cherish the time we get to spend together. I thank God every day for this human being.

Dad's Angelfish
Jack got to attend swimming with his dad today. I just stood back and acted like the paparazzi! They were so adorable in the pool together. Tyee was the only brave dad out there in a group full of moms! I get to be back in the pool on Thursday.

A "Not Quite" Lazy Sunday
Jack doesn't seem to understand that Sundays are for sleeping in, relaxing, and laying around. I think he probably picked that up from his dad who likes to make the most of his days off. I, on the other hand, am perfectly content to do nothing on a Sunday! Jack loves to stand at the laundry baskets and take all the folded laundry out! He also took some steps with the push toy yesterday.....pretty wobbly, but it was neat to see.
